All sunscreen is the same, right? Actually, sunscreens fall into two distinct categories: chemical and physical. Beyond that, different sunscreens can be tinted or untinted, come in different formulas and have varying levels of UV protection. Your options range anywhere from a mineral, tinted lotion that provides UVA/UVB protection to a chemical, untinted gel that only provides UVB protection. For dry skin
As dry skin types know all too well, the more hydration the better. This goes for your cleanser, moisturizer and yes, your sunscreen. For oily skin

For sensitive skin
An irritation flare-up can deter sensitive skin types from overcomplicating their skin care routine. However, sunscreen is a must — you just have to be careful to avoid harsh ingredients. Mineral (or physical) sunscreens are the best option for sensitive skin because they tend to be fragrance-free, noncomedogenic and noninflammatory.
